A speech pathologist may be able to help your child if;

o They are an extremely picky eater and it significantly limits the variety of foods they will eat

o They have difficulties chewing (especially harder textures like meat)

o They have a tongue-thrust swallow

o They have a tongue-tie

Speech pathologists are trained in assessing and treating difficulties with chewing and swallowing. We can provide exercises and strategies to help your child build their chewing and eating skills, which will help to reduce mealtime stress at home.
